Shot in beautiful wide-screen, but narrowing compositions between vertical lines, windows, doors, walls, this is an at the same time haunting and sometimes strangely funny piece about what we would call a femme fatale. Of course this takes place in ancient times, where women were far from being Barbara Stanwyck. But this lady here sure makes the best out of being helpless. Recommended for anyone who wants to extend their view of what genre can be.
