In this fact-based historical drama about Chile’s bloody coup d’etat of 1973, leftist president Salvador Allende (Naicho Petrov) becomes the target of a conspiracy involving Chile’s military leader, Augustin Pinochet (Henri Poirier); corrupt corporations; and the CIA (which masterminds a plan to end not only the president’s regime but also his life). Helvio Soto directed this affecting drama about fascism and political suppression.
