Mesmirizing piece of writing. the lead performances are turned up to eleven and they pull you right in. the emotional pay off is so powerful too. a wonderful tonal piece on grief.

i just saw this last night on cable, I don't know where I've been. It can be argued that it's a small film in which nothing much happens. But if a great film is one that is authentic and affecting, then this one is brilliant. Add me to the list of those who cried
loved it! such an impacting movie with an amazing performance by kristin scott thomas who I also congratulate for 'Partir'.
I cried in the movie theater. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Acted and directed wonderfully. This film should not be missed. So much done with so little.
The best performance by Scott-Thomas by far in this almost perfect film. Good script and a really great climax.
Amazing film. Kristen Scott Thomas' performance has left a mark on my soul.
A beautifully observed and poignant family drama featuring a magnificent lead performance from Kristen Scott Thomas. She conveys more with the drag of a cigarette or a longing glance than most actresses could dream of doing with lines of dialogue. Elsa Zylberstein, with her slight frame and delicate beauty gives an excellent supporting performance. The film is exquisitely structured and paced. Wonderful Stuff.
Very engrossing character drama is highlighted by some exceptional performances - Kristin Scott Thomas in particular is extraordinary. The story meanders, it goes on too long and is not without its contrivances - but the characters and emotions are so strong and authentic, it pulls through as a compelling drama.
A film composed of compelling subtlety and beautifully carried by two stellar performances from leads Kristin Scott Thomas and Elsa Zylberstein. Yet while its execution is intriguing while it lasts, there's just not enough meat on the bone for us to emotionally invest in. An interesting experience, albeit not a particularly memorable one.
