Our take

Werner Herzog has always had a keen eye for the excesses of maximalist enterprise, and André Heller’s epic compilation of Indian culture is certainly a feat touched by madness. Surveying the project in wide-eyed wonder, Herzog quizzically interrogates the line between the eccentric and visionary.
