Juan

This is a story about a man who loved and loathed women, a heartless seducer. This is renowned opera director Kasper Holten’s take on Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni. The protagonist of this urban drama is Juan, a celebrated artist and notorious playboy going through an endless stream of conquests and betrayals of women. His restless appetite for life and sex drives him onto a destructive path, to a point where he realizes that if his life is a work of art, then there is only one way to finish his masterpiece. Accompanied by Concerto Copenhagen, Juan is played by baritone Christopher Maltman. –Istanbul Film Festival
