Hahaha. I must say I'm constantly looking forward to your comments.
Being about teenage pregnancy, I was surprised this was a romantic drama. Teenage pregnancy is such a humorous subject and it was just wasted here with a non puberty in Jesse Eisenberg and some white Precious from the Saphire novels.
Thank you Tommy. Although I am being outrageously serious, I'm glad you enjoy them. I saw the typo though, so if you read it in the proper way the typo disappears...its an interesting concept.
I love my life, I like everyone I meet, and am pretty much always in a good mood. But this film made me want to stick a gun in my mouth and end it all. What an awful film.
Overly quirky to the point of annoyance. The only honest moment is when Jason Bateman character decides to leave the Jennifer Garner character (Holy Shit was that lady insufferable). The soundtrack is fucking TERRIBLE, seriously one of the worst I've ever heard.
Those who are saying that they did not enjoy the film because people like Juno "don't exist". Well, I can understand. But, if one looks past the fact that language is used in a supposedly 'cool' way for 'entertainment', this film is one that is touching, funny and the acting is great. The only thing I did not like was the relationship between Juno and Mark, as it was uneccesarily uncomfortable to watch.
3rd rewatch. The Kimya Dawson songs seem out of place at least to me now. I still find a lot to love and appreciate about this movie - especially the performances and there's a couple of moments with JK Simmons that are up there with Reitman's best. The Hospital scene chokes me up. It's not an absolutely flawless movie, and I like Young Adult more, but this one still holds up... except for some of the music choices.
Good movie, could be better, but defenetly much better than the actual hollywood actual standar.
Unlike most people I enjoyed the script very much. In the commentary Diablo Cody said that she wrote the script for teenage girls and being a teenage girl I really enjoyed it. This is a film ran by its dialogue and a wonderful performance by Ellen Page.
Right now, the student's cafe has put the entire soundtrack album on play. DAMN KIDS! I'M TRYING TO WORK HERE!
This Fertile Myrtle story, it's quite enjoyable and handsdown a cute story... Everytime I remember it I want to buy an orange and white stripes shirt.
Hold on, I'm talking on my HAMBURGER TELEPHONE (wait, why does Diablo Cody feel she has to write in something that we already SEE?!)
I´ve watch it a long time ago... Her personalitty rocks!!! My way or the highway!! :) Also, Ellen Page is so cuteee!!
A personal dilemma: Ellen Page needs to be in more movies, while Michael "I Play The Same Fucking Role In Every Film" Cera needs to be in less.
Cute with a good storyline. I just couldn't buy teenagers being that mature and having such a 'cool' vocabulary. I've never met anyone that talks like that and was annoyed that someone would.
As a teenager I'd like to express my doubt towards the notion that anyone could be an authority on the subject of teenage vocabulary, primarily because its not really a subject at all. That aside, in case you haven't noticed, good sir or madame -out of all of your mature and adultly experiences- there are enough immature adults in this world to populate a second planet Earth with, so, what makes you think that out of the whole population of teenage humans in this world, that at the very least the number of teenage characters in this movie could be "that mature". The level of believability this film held for you is your opinion, but making an offhand judgement on a whole demography of human beings is bordering on discrimination.
A funny, sweet and refreshing comedy thats become a punching bag because it actually found popularity. The pretentiousness of some people astounds me.
overwritten shit but ellen page deserves some credit for creating a believable, surprising, and even complex human being out of such an abysmal collection of lines. it's a great, full characterization. and jennifer garner is really genuine, it's easily her best performance.
