Kavik the Wolf Dog

Based on Walt Morey’s 1968 novel, this moving drama centers on the relationship between Alaskan lad Andy Evans (Andrew Ian McMillan) and an injured wolf dog named Kavik rescued by Andy from the wreckage of a downed plane. When Kavik’s owner (John Ireland) shows up to take the champion sled dog back home to Seattle, he escapes and embarks on a long, adventurous journey to reunite with young Andy. Watch for John Candy in a bit part as a mechanic.
