en 2 semans fui al cine 3 veces a ver....le di color, pero es que me alucino (se nota?)
not as good as the second one in terms of characters and dialogue but it's bizarre clarity of its own world and events makes it more than enough to consider worth watching. I've never seen a movie like this before and I don't quite think I will anytime soon.
"Well, a sure and steady hand did this. This ain't no squirrelly amateur. This is the work of a salty dog. You can tell by the cleanliness of the carnage. Now a kill-crazy rampage though it may be, all the colors are kept within the lines. If you was a moron, you could almost admire it."
I had previously relegated this to the "Tarantino just references shit" category, but a rewatch of the two films made me realize that they're his most personal work. Tarantino only knows how to express his soul through trashy cinema, and does it with verve and genuine respect, which I feel is worthy of admiration. His camera is at its best here, including his most clearly De Palma-influenced sequence.
One of my favorite movies. It's just awsome with the blood, the japanese animation and of course, the plot, which kept me whatching.
Adult cartoon on crack! The insides of Tarantinos mind laid bare, disturbing and awesome in equal measure
hacked limbs, katana kills, killer schoolgirls, bruce lee inspired, simply amazing film :)
Girl power, motherfucker! That's probably what I love most about Tarantino, he's one of the most feminist male filmmakers nowadays.
After showing his talents in writing such a fantastic script in "Pulp Fiction", I think what Quentin was trying to do here is showing that he could also did fantastic techniques in cinematography, costume, editing, sound, and visual effects.
Maybe because it was full action and less story made me forget I've seen it. It's true, I actually forget I've seen it. when I watched it again recently, I just realized that: that was not my first time watching it. It was great action, but to me, strangely, it was instantly forgettable.
