I was admittedly pretty tired when I saw “Kill List” late at night two weeks into seeing two to five movies a day at a film festival. Perhaps that contributed to the confusion. There’s lots of good stuff here, and an interesting genre shift. I don’t think the parts really hold together though, which is disappointing. I may try it again fresh, but I really don’t think I overlooked enough to make a difference. If it really does all make sense; I’m impressed. If it doesn’t; I’ll hope for better command of the story in Wheatley’s next film.
