Kill the Poor

Forced by financial circumstance to move to New York’s Lower East Side, Joe Peltz (David Krumholtz) and his green-card bride (Clara Bellar) find their new neighborhood a dangerous crime zone. Undaunted, the two gamely make a go of it as residents of a fledgling tenement co-op, where they alternately clash and connect with the building’s other tenants. But the tensions simmering on the back burner of this urban frontier soon threaten to boil over.
