Synopsis

Based on Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ 1991 bestselling novel The Feather Men, Killer Elite stars Jason Statham as an ex-Navy SEAL who is forced out of retirement to save his one-time mentor (Robert De Niro) from a vengeful oil magnate. His mission: kill three assassins, but make each of the jobs look like an accident. Clive Owen co-stars as the man who must make sure this doesn’t happen. –TIFF

not so bad. i haven't figured out how to give half stars yet, but it's a resonably high 2. not terrible, but lighter than it pretends to be, with a decent story and setting, combined with a horrible script. if DeNiro had less lines, his character would have been much better, and maybe if everyone else followed suit it would have been better overall. for sure a fun-ish pulpy action picture. don't worry about it.
