A great little buddy movie about two German dudes in their 30s coming to terms with their pasts and their heritage as members of the generation after Nazism. It tells its story leisurely and with life's small moments preserved intact.
How many films can you think of that are surreal and earthy at the same time?Well, this is one of those.
amazing movie, arguably wender's best movie alongside wings of desire, it's beautiful to look and to grasp, quiet, honest, delightful scenes and music, really intense of the sense of place and space, hilarious and contemplating at the same time., easily one of my fave movie ever
"Los norteamericanos nos han colonizado el subconsciente. Hay que empezarlo todo de nuevo. So long".
An enjoyable trip through Germany, delightful for the mind as well as for the eyes. Not for the mainstream movie-goer though.
I am in love with Wenders beautiful camera work and the way he lets life speak for itself. He has a great talent for choosing the musical background for the nice long shots (I specially love the ones from the landspace passing by) and his movies are so wonderfully slow (the first third mostly too slow:), plain, real and they give you somekind of comfort in accepting life as it is, But this one was too long.
