I think I'm not alone when I say that the soundtrack completely overshadows the film. 'Escape to India' is a good example of what I mean.

Scorsese and Roger Deakins together means that this film can look nothing short of spectacular. But outside of the beautiful visuals, I don't see much for me return to here.

Fascinating film, may be one my favorite Scorsese film. The casting was great and the film had very strong story telling. At time i did feel it was shown one sided, but i wont complain. Its perhaps the best movie on this topic?

Forget what I said about The Age of Innocence. Kundun is by far Scorsese's finest film.

An underrated piece of work. Beautiful, poetic and at times (surprisingly) graphically violent. The idea of God incarnate in flesh is dealt with interestingly (and I assume a chief reason Scorsese did the film). The child actors at times stumble, but overall a very interesting film. Proves Scorsese's films don't have to be about gangsters or male frustations to be great.
