After studying applied art, Sophie Letourneur continued at the Arts Déco in the video department, where she made experimental films and documentaries. Notable directing credits include La tête dans le vide (2004), Manue Bolonaise (2005) and Roc et Canyon (2007). In 2009 she made her first feature, Chicks. –Locarno Film Festival

The film reflects my observations that the youth of today are shallow, superficial, vulgar and can think of nothing more than sex, booze and the usual pop music dreck. The characters are totally uninteresting… read review
