repeti harto el adjetivo "atormentada" pero es asi noma...bien atormentado todo ...pobre
truly powerful performance,a so-so biographical storyline but told non chronologically improves the experience
Cotillard's performance as Piaf, a colourful figure, an eccentric woman, an emotional wreck, a wonderful and dedicated chanteuse, is just brilliant. Her Oscar is well-deserved. I also enjoy the dramaturgy of the film. The inconsistent, non-chronological structure helps to create a unique atmosphere and fits the story of a dying woman arbitrarily remembering various different stages of her life. A wonderful film.
The best biopic I have seen yet! Marion Cotillard gives the performance of a lifetime as French singer Edith Piaf. You are not watching Marion, your witnessing a portrayal of a woman who touched the lives of people all over the world. See it!
Edith Piaf is one of the greatest singers of all time. La vie en rose is one of the greatest movies about any musician.
mmmmmmm. what an INCREDIBLE actress. she did everything. the vocal stylings and the overall feel of this film from street to performance halls is stunning. The jumbled order was perhaps not needed in areas, but essential in others.
Such an incredibly sad film. Marion Cotillard was inspiring. She's really a great actress.
Amazing performance and make up. Interesting way of portraying her life. Don't know why the film only had to concentrate only on the terrible times though.
Understanding the pain of raw woman takes some personal influx. And that's exactly what the actors and directors achieved. To elevate a woman's life from the gritty underworld of war-torn and golden Paris. Even though you may have never heard of la Mome, it won't matter, because she lived her songs, and now the same tell us a story of someone against the odds, and better yet, showing how it may consume you, with grace
What was going on? The structure was all over the place... Marion Cotillard was great however.
