I do not agree with you. :-/
A good installment to the 'vengeance trilogy' but far from being phenomenal. It has impressive photography throughout but what some times is a powerful tool of cinematic delight, at others begins to distract from the storytelling. There needs to be a harmony among the various elements of filmmaking in order for a film to come full circle and no matter how many brilliant moments this has, it is still a dotted circle.
I feel like the film had a lot to say and didn't really succeed in the second act. Though the final resolve and the scenes with the childrens parents are phenomenal. Really enjoyed the ending and the lead performance was fantastic. Another Chan-Wook gem.
Lee Young Ae does an amazing job as the protagonist. Such an amazing revenge film, another great one from Park Chan Wook.
Brilliant stuff, this is one of Park Chan-Wook's best films, not as appreciated as it should be.
As many of the new Korean wave films, Lady Vengeance follows a puzzled structure, based more on memories and senses than a traditional western plot. The present, past and future is mixed into a fascinating maelstrom of poetry, gruesome violence and surreal images. Intriguing but beautiful and hardly forgettable.
Disappointing. She(the main character) doesn't match up to the greatness of the first two.Plus, her motive seems a bit forced.
A very deep and beautiful solemn hymn dedicated for a passionate vengeance. This film offers sweetness and pure beauty and at the same time also give you a disturbing chill. It's amazing how an emotional, dreamy and beautiful start could turn into an emotionless freak show only a total sick bastard like Park Chan Wook could think of, without losing one keyword that stays strong until the end ; Elegance
chan-wook's characters always use such interesting weapons. hammers, baseball bats, battle axes, not to mention that double-barreled hand gun. i love it.
A darkly comic yet stunningly poignant symphony of blood, sin and snow, with breathtaking use of colour and style. It's hard to pin down, but there's something emotionally satisfying about the whole of the vengeance trilogy, and with Lady Vengeance, a catharsis is obtained by the way of something Chan Wook Park doesn't deal with too often; redemption. A sadist's utopia, a really gorgeous one too. Geum-ja <33333
This definitely fits with the other two films. The theme of vengeance comes full circle. Very good film first half and a brilliant second half. Also the cinematography is beautiful. The Vengeance trilogy is awesome.
Mymovies parla di "sceneggiatura sfilacciata": ha pienamente ragione, e questo per me è una specie di peccato capitale. Eppure c'era potenziale.
I was actually disappointed because "OldBoy" and this "Lady" has the same motif REVENGE..daahh..boring it is like feminine OLDBoy..come on! Nothing new and impressive...
Didn't bought the revenge-story and i hated the main character. Visually stunning and a cool looking gun is the reason it's worth watching. A big step back from Oldboy.
J'adore les dètails du film, les talons rouges, la voix des femmes presque imperceptibles mais dangereuses
The female star was very good.... And overall, the film was very very good.... Love its cinematography and music, it makes the film more elegant an feminine.... Very good!!!
This film must be horrible if you have children :( This not the best park's film about revenge, but the female style at the end is awesome ;)
