Our take

We could watch David Lynch at work in his studio for hours. This short, self-directed portrait finds the filmmaker building a sculptural lamp in his atelier, providing real-time commentary on his artistic process. It makes for a great double bill with the 2016 documentary David Lynch: The Art Life.
