An enjoyable serial that, despite being written and filmed on the fly, pays fairly close attention to detail. Occasionally ridiculous tale of an intrepid reporter’s battle against “gangsters” (they range anywhere from very low-rent to very high-powered upper crust citizens) features everything but the kitchen sink – plot twists galore, chases, murders . . . you even get one character whose favorite weapon is a cannon! At least it’s always interesting. Feuillade shows some good technique, as well. It’s a fun watch, although you might want to tackle it in segments.
