Synopsis
After seeing her mobster boyfriend bump off a rival, sexy moll Cleo (Angel Tompkins) runs for her life and soon crosses paths with Slick Bender (Billy Curtis) and his band — five little people with a talent for burglary. With Cleo on board, the gang poses as a traveling circus. But when gangsters track down Cleo, their good luck may run out. Jerry Maren, Felix Silla, Frank Delfino and Emory Souza round out the cast as Slick’s gang.

AIP's LITTLE CIGARS (1973) is the best midget noir heist movie I've ever seen. What might have been an ugly exploitation pic turns out to be fun, w/ a strong script & surprisingly nuanced work from veteran performers. OZ vet Billy Curtis plays the diminutive mob leader and Playboy playmate Angel Tompkins his moll, w/ support from Jerry Maren (OZ, AT THE CIRCUS) & Cousin Itt himself Felix Silla. Fun. (9/22/11 Netflix)
