A man wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president’s daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates. —IMDb
A fun movie which Guy Pearce makes watchable. The dialogue was strange in certain parts as if translation errors were kept in the script and never questioned. No masterpiece but if you're in the mood for cheesy action it works just fine.
Read the plot synopsis above. Read it again. If that doesn't give you a little thrill up the leg, then I don't know what to tell you, jack! The fact that "Lockout" makes good on the promise of that synopsis, delivering a superbly silly '80s-style action film (but, you know, in space!) is nothing short of a testament to the human spirit and the power of the Besson model of international production financing.
