It reminded me of "The White Nights".

A short and sweet classic from Demy. Great score and lovely performance from Anouk Aimee

Quite heartbreaking and far better than most "intersecting-lives" films you see today.

Although it was nice how the ending wrapped itself up, I thought it was a bit of a bore overall. I'd rather just watch Les Parapluies over again.

One of the movies I love most. I love the use of Beethoven, and that lovely scene in the park, with the girl and the sailor. I agree @ Emma, about Coutard's work.

An absolutely beautiful, vibrant film. Coutard's cinematography is perfect and it's really made me want to watch Demy's other films

Radiantly beautiful film. If you don't fall madly in love with Anouk Aimee, regardless of your gender or sexual orientation, you need to have your hormone levels examined.

I just watched this in Telluride and fell in love with Anouk Aimée all over again.

absolutely full of cinematic beauty, impresive raoul coutards use of the camera, awesome screenwriting, adorable music score (wich includes first compases of second movement from beethoven's seventh), beautifull anouk aimée as lola; in a few words: breathtaking piece of cinematic art
