I'm not sure if that was meant to be subtly funny but it was.
Watching this was the first time I ever considered making films as something I might want to do with my life. Not sure why, but it did.
Utterly devastating, if somehow incomplete. I yearn for the finished version - the Rochefort version. How does Johnny Depp still manage to come across as the coolest guy in the world amongst all the mayhem?
One of the more heartbreaking films I've seen. I teared up, I felt like vomiting ... I've felt a FRACTION of Gilliam's pain on my own work, I can only imagine and honestly partially dream I'd be given an opportunity to feel and pained how that man felt and pained.
I don't know why, but watching this movie was what started me wanting to make movies.
God does not want Gilliam making movies. I don't know that there has ever been a director more plagued with bad luck on his sets. Perhaps his ambitions are too high but for crying out loud! Can he ever catch a break? Fascinating documentary and one for every director or producing film student to see before setting out.
