It should have been MUCH better. Carrey's performance is vastly overrated, the real Andy was much more subtle and much less cutesy. The Letterman and Fridays recreations are bungled so badly that they are truly embarrassing to watch. The only good moments belonged to Tony Clifton, and those were the only scenes in the film that actually made me laugh. Paul Giamatti was brilliant as usual. Overall, a failure. ***3

In such awe by this film. Jim Carey is just so phenomenal when he does something serious. The film is made pretty well but it thrives on who it depicts. Andy Kaufman. I'm having trouble finding what to write, I'm just too happy, sad, angry, and emotional, just like Andy would've wanted it.
