Synopsis

In a small village in Colombia, the pregnant seventeen years old Maria (Catalina Sandino Moreno) supports her family with her salary working in a floriculture. She is fired and with a total lack of perspective of finding a new job, she decides to accept the offer to work as a drug mule, flying to USA with sixty-two pellets of cocaine in her stomach. message of this movie can be summed up to "DRUGS ARE AWFUL - but the US is such a great country. DRUGS RUIN EVERYTHING but you'll get along great in the Us.Live here".

The narrative falters here and there & it is a bit thin - but it had tension, interesting content and an authentic nicely paced performance from Catalina Moreno. 7/10
