Synopsis

A wild ride in Casablanca for a group of hip young people. Romance, parties, friendship, fast cars, music, graduation and the anxiety of moving on after high school. The carefree lifestyle of headstrong student Rita often clashes with traditionnal Moroccan culture. Her crush on the cutest guy in school worries her conservative older brother.

Laila Marrakchi was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1975. She holds an MA in Film and Video Studies at the University Paris III, she was assistant director on several films, and in 2001 she made her first short film, The Lost Horizon. She is married to Alexander Aja. —Africultures
