There are few films that I finish watching with my mouth agape and my body leaned in towards the screen. This was one of them. Remarkably, this film had taken me into the comfort of what seemed like a "typical" film and conned me into something else entirely. I loved it.

Nick Cage is so cool in this. I watched this as a child and I rember I wanted him to be my dad.

Too bad Scott always goes for style over substance, but overall it's a pretty entertaining film, charming performances, good twists.
