Lol! I feel the same way, she is so awkward.
This was a great little surprise. 'May' seems fairly ahead of its time being a film that's basically a disturbed twist on the manic picie dream girl that populates indie films. May's character is basically an experiment in crossing the line between indie quirky weird and Norman Bates weird. And then there's Anna Farris as an illiterate lesbian veterinarian assistant. Everybody wins, A must for fans of genre.
movies dont usually bother me but for some reason this movie creeped me the fuck out to the highest degree. still loved it though, very very creepy
A horror/comedy indie film done right. It's a balance act of horror and comedy and the film manages to keep balance all the way to its creepy and disturbing end.
"May" is a rare creature indeed: a certified "horror" film that hits the heart more than it hits the nerves. You really feel for the title character, even if you're repulsed by her actions. Though the film isn't exactly perfect (definently have seen better acting), Lucky McKee, like May herelf, makes something special out of the good parts.
A quirky, violent portrait of loneliness with a FRANKENSTEIN twist. Angela Bettis is a fantastic actress, it's a shame we don't see her in more movies.
Quite possibly my favorite movie ever. It's unfortunate that McKee hasn't come to close to making another film quite like it.
