A powerful story of courage and perseverance, certainly worth telling through film. Unfortunately, most of the film falls prey to the "uplifting fim" stereotype where lines are repeated twice for effect ("Doctor, good luck....good luck.") and the score is overbearing in its efforts to jerk a few tears from the audience. And I'm not a big fan of Cuba Gooding's acting, either.
