I don’t usually give 2 shits about the drama upper-class-rich-spoiled-kids from New York go through but “Metropolitan” was actually an enjoyable movie.
The dialogue was hilarious, hearing these kids talk about Bunuel, and pulling trains on bitches so eloquently and proper was actually impressive to watch. Someone took the time to write this dialogue and I’m impressed! It was kind of like watching an episode of The Hills or Laguna Beach where pretty rich white kids have problems in their relationships! I thought stoners and rappers were the only muthafuckas to come up with acronyms, but I guess the “U.H.B” is its own term too huh! Fuckin classic!
I recommend you watch this movie with friends who can actually comprehend some of the topics these characters talk about otherwise it would just be some boring talkfest. Then after play the game “TRUTH” that was played in this movie, what a fuckin GENIUS game! The next social gathering with aquaintances———- I mean the next house I go to get high and drunk we’re all gonna play fuckin “TRUTH” to see how HONEST REAL FRIENDS ARE!!
I give this movie a solid 8 out of 10 for the brilliant humorous dialogue. The game “TRUTH”, and for the character of
Audrey Rouget….BEAUTIFUL! Can’t wait to watch more Stillman movies. Thanks Criterion Collection! Now that I plugged your fuckin DVD company send me some free DVDs man that shit is expensive! I don’t live like the kids in METROPOLITAN now come on give me a break!
