Miss Firecracker

Carnelle (Holly Hunter), an oversexed hellion who was orphaned as a child, has always played second fiddle to her beautiful Southern belle cousin — a past Miss Firecracker contest winner. But Carnelle’s ready to turn the tables. Afterall, she wants that crown. Hunter originated her role — by turns fiery and comic — in the off-Broadway version of the movie, which was an important stepping-stone to her eventual film debut.
