Proof that the American Empire, in the broader sense of its agenda, does not really care about its own citizens.
Excellent political Thriller with a Hunman heart thanks to Lemmon and Spacek. The coup scenes are well staged and very unsettling
Saw this tonight in a class, brilliant film. Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek are both, as mentioned below, perfectly natural, emoting with the subtlest movements and expressions. Their friendship development is totally believable, in contrast to basically all other films of the type, and the story is edited down tight, with tons of tension and a no punches pulled narrative. This being a studio picture is unbelievable.
Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek are so natural. Have you ever watched the show Without A Trace? This is basically a feature length version of that show, but with no detectives. The family has to search for themselves. It also seems to have some similarities to the newer movie, In the Valley of Elah.
