You have been invited to become the new friend of our Happy Family; but first let me introduce everybody. There’s Girly, she’s feisty and cute as a button. Her brother Sonny; a well-spoken young lad who likes to play Indian. Loving “Mumsy” – the head of the family and a passionate knitter and finally the loyal Nanny, who spends her days taking care of the young-ons and sleeps at the bottom of Mumsy’s bed. But if you want to be a friend of this family, then you have to play by the rules – or you will be send to the angels!

Girly and Sonny are always on the lookout for new playmates to take part in twisted role-playing games in this British horror-comedy by Director/Cinematographer Freddie Francis; and they might just have found their perfect match in a middle-aged gigolo who turns the rules upside down and plays the murderous clan against each other.

Mumsy, Nanny, Sonny and Girly is a delightful black comedy with a clever script and wonderful offbeat performances from the entire ensemble. (4.5/5)
