This is neither the most original nor is it the most interesting movie, but you know what: sometimes it doesn't have to be. This movie gets the job done despite how hammy it is at times. The main reason to watch this movie is for Meryl Streep's performance (of course), because she is truly inspiring and wonderful in this role. Kudos to Wes Craven for making a movie outside his forte, and I hope he makes more like it.
