I swear I had the most incredible dream after watching this for the second time. I'd give anything to have it back. There I was flying so high, it was the best dream ever and I couldn't believe I was awoken!!
one word for this anime : really2 touching...
This movie is just amazing. It's beautiful, original, funny and touching. The soundtrack is also great.
Can someone compare the original dub with the Disney dub? The one thing I didn't like about the movie was Dakota Fanning's voice.
Children used to love trees :')
It's not perfect, but it's another great example of how Miyazaki understands childhood innocence with his unique stories
defines cinematic perfection.
A obra definitiva sobre a infância reclusiva.
Makes me cry whenever I see it. Longing for something so basic like growing up with your complete family.. every kid should have that. It feels so close but it is so far because of the situation handed. And then a beautiful world of magic and nature that is always your healing friend.
sweet; wish i could've watched the subtitled version because i usually enjoy anime movies that way more, but nonetheless i loved this. i have a mild urge to get a "totoro" tattoo or something...maybe just a poster though
Loved this! Although there was a bit less philosophical/ecological underpinnings than with most his other films, which is a characteristic I very much appreciate in Miyazaki's films. Heartwarming. No one does children's film better.
This is, quite simply, the best children's film ever made. Everything a kid could want in this movie is encapsulated so well in a feature films' average running time. It is bubbling with imagination and overflowing with innocence & heart. Even if you're an adult, you can't help but be swayed by its charms. Watch it while you are still young & impressionable, because that is when its magic will affect you the most.
People think Ponyo is cute. Have they never seen this film?
I want to live next to Totoro's forest.
still wandering the forests with hope that I will run right into Totoro's tummy
Simple but fascinating. One of Miyazaki's finest films.
Totoro is the best thing ever. The end.
I think that Miyazaki has made better film than this... The pictures are magnificent, but the story isn't very amazing. It's a pity, 'cause he is one of my favourite japanese filmmaker
Perfectly captures childhood. His movies just inspire me whenever I watch them.
i'm warning you, Do not read this: http://fellowof.wordpress.com/2011/04/28/an-inconvenient-truth-about-my-neighbor-totoro/ :(
nicest cartoon i've ever seen i guess!!
so beautiful, sad at some times, and whimsical. I want a Totoro shaped tea pot. badly. another great Miyazaki
Kids having fun doing laundry and playing with creepy furry things.
