Dahan follows up 'La Vie en Rose' with this misdirected, poorly scripted and overacted film. Dahan doesn't have the feel for the American road movie despite top notch photography by Libatique and a soundtrack by Bob Dylan (in what would become the Together Through Life lp) Whitaker and Zellwegger both fail to bring their characters to realistic life though Renee's take on 'This Land is Your Land' is quite striking.
