The sense of loneliness in this film is so deeply felt that at times it's almost unbearable, but there's also a warmth here that's missing in Je tu il elle. Akerman has a painter's eye for composition and a brilliant sense of rhythm. Entrancing.

I can't say I liked it, but it definitely provokes the questions, What is art? What makes a film good or interesting? What is a movie and what is a film?

Honestly? This is easily the worst film I've seen in a very, very long time.

How can you put into words the magificent and intimate experience that is to watch this film?. This feeling, of being foreigner, of being manipulated, of nostalgia, of disconnection... If this is not the purest form of cinema, is one of the closest things I've ever seen.

The last scene reminded me of leaving a city for the last time, not knowing when you'll return.

This is it. The best closing scene I've seen in a long time. New personal favorite.
