In this dark and offbeat comedy, best friends Billy (Skeet Ulrich) and Buford (Gary Oldman) are two convicts, dim-witted petty criminals who get a lucky break when they escape from prison and choose to settle into domesticity after finding an orphaned baby on the road. However, Buford — always an opportunist — has a plan, against kindhearted Billy’s better judgement. Radha Mitchell, Mary Steenburgen, Matthew Modine and Ed O’Neill co-star.
