Synopsis

Enemies are forced into an uneasy alliance as a matter of survival in this affecting World War II drama starring Frank Sinatra as a Marine medic. Stranded after crash-landing with his squadron on a Pacific atoll with a marooned Japanese garrison, Capt. Bourke (Clint Walker) reaches an agreement with Lt. Kuroki (Tatsuya Mihashi) to share provisions. But mounting distrust threaten the tenuous truce. This is the only film Sinatra ever directed.
