Noroutine – it’s an audiovisual project, where fantasy, cinematographic creativity, mastership of actors, stop-motion animation joins altogether to the interesting spectacle, to the unreal film story. It’s a short length film, which represents an experimental genre in cinema.
The main character of movie – a middle aged office worker Henrikas (act: Saulius Čėpla). His job – it’s an endless routine, repeatable actions, mechanical rhythm. He is loner, living in his own secret and colourful things’ world. Things want to help their owner. They lead Henrikas to the strange, white, long ribbon, which goes through different streets, yards and spaces. It brings Henrikas to the joy, freedom of mind and satisfaction to be himself. In 2007 Jūratė Samulionytė (b. 1983) got her MA in Film and TV directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She worked on several Lithuanian and foreign productions as a director assistant, script supervisor and as a producer assistant. Jūratė Samulionytė is also developing her skills as a screenwriter. Her short stop-motion film Noroutine got the Silver Crane Award for Best Lithuanian Short Film 2008.
