Just a great visual comedy, it’s incredibly odd and unlike most. The Coen Brothers created a 1930’s Depression version of The Odyssey and for some reason it just works tremendously well. The characters come off as so bizarre and loony, but you don’t really question that because of the way it’s done. Probably one of my favorite performances from George Clooney, but the entire cast does a great job. It’s styled and shot extremely well as is all of Joel Coen’s directing. It’s not just a simple comedy, in fact very few are this well thought out and intricate.
