O Lamparina

During a long journey with his family in search of work, Bernardino Jabá becomes involved with Zé do Candieiro and his troop of bandits. He helps the police arrest the criminals, but Zé do Candieiro manages to get away before he is caught. Bernardino follows his tracks but gets lost and ends up in jail in a far away town. With his disappearance, his family and all the village assume he’s dead. After a private year of freedom, he returns to the village, where he is mistaken for a lost soul, a ghost.—mostra.org
