The main character travels to his hometown for his high school reunion. During the trip, he recalls the memories of the days in high school. Friendship, subtle love, a trip to Tokyo and so on all came back to him as the film evolves. –IMDb
Double-edged sword. TV format leads to brisk pacing despite weak form (insistent establishing shots, weird edits). Exploration of high school relationships is similar, focusing on those important moments so quickly hurts it while also revealing itself as an accurate portrayal. Do these memories still matter? Should we hold them close or move on? And can we move on more humanly then drunk at a reunion like Yamao?
it was lovely, but I didn't find it very memorable. but always lovely. I'm a sucker for Studio Ghibli.
A simply enjoyable story. I love the narrative and everything in this anime. Beautiful. And one thing about Ghibli's I like most is they always serve good music for the audiences' ears.
