Of Men and Motorcycles

Unemployment is one of the major social problems of the current Iranian society. Tehran with around twenty million inhabitants and millions of vehicles has one of the heaviest traffic congestion in the world. The challenge for punctuality is one of the people’s main concerns consequently. Amid such chaos, motorcycles driving at high speed and being allowed to enter the traffic restricted zones have become a popular means of transportation. “Of Men and Motorcycles” depicts Abbas and a widespread group of young Tehranis who have lost their jobs and are obliged to make a living by transporting people or messages by motorcycle.
