Gabriel Abrantes was born in North Carolina in 1984. In 2008, his works, Olympia I/II were chosen for the IndieLisboa Festival, where in 2009 he also won the New Talent Fnac Award with Visionary Iraq. He lives and works in Lisbon, where he is preparing his first feature film, about Chinese immigration in Angola, and a short soon to be filmed in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
