Five years after the death of their parents, two estranged sisters reunite at the isolated farmhouse where they spent childhood summers and holidays. Ry Russo‐Young was profiled on the cover of The New York Times Magazine in the article “Growing Up with Mom and Mom.” Her first short film, Marion, screened in 2006 at the Tribeca Film Festival and garnered the Jury Award for best experimental film at SXSW the same year. Orphans, Russo-Young’s first feature film, premiered in 2007 at SXSW, where it received a Special Jury Prize. Her second feature, You Wont Miss Me, premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, received a Gotham Award, and was released theatrically. –Sundance
