I pretty much feel this way about all of his films.
Interesting and occasionally upsetting, I think I sort of liked this. I might even like to see some of his other things, as well.
Well, this was weird. But at the same time nice. I don't know. It took a long time for me to get what was going on.
Solondz is a unique and confrontational filmmaker, and although the strange narrative of Palindromes is enough to throw off even seasoned art house goers I'm sure, I for one really enjoyed and admired this film.
I didn't exactly got into it, but now realize nobody ever got close to the the ideas in this movie. Unique !
This is an incredible film and deserves more than 3.5 stars. Solondz experiments with the linear protagonist in a way that is endearing, thought-provoking, accessible. Watch Welcome To the Dollhouse first.
I'll be the first to admit, this film had to grow on me. As for myself, this is true with any Solondz film. I have a newfound appreciation for his work, and I just bought this on DVD to watch it again.
the change of actors it´s brilliant. something i wanted to use a long time ago, and i am so happy, one of my favorite directors done it so well.
