This is definitely not a ‘good’ movie; it doesn’t carry much weight on any level. But it’s a fluffy confection if you happen to feel like a bit of (silly) escapism. The most awkward part of the film is watching the two ex-lovebirds Hepburn and Holden play at romance… with Holden as a washed-up alcoholic (which he sort of tended to be, in reality) clearly falling all over again for the effervescent (and then married) Hepburn, while attempting to be charming and funny. Aside from that, it isn’t too painful & the fashion is fun! (P.S. Look for a great cameo by Tony Curtis.)
