Penn of Pennsylvania

Clifford Evans plays the titular Penn — Quaker leader and founder of the colony of Pennsylvania William Penn — in this biopic that follows the great man’s journey from upper-class Brit to New World leader. Eschewing a comfortable existence in his native Britain for the great unknown of life in the Colonies, Penn is willing to risk all in pursuit of religious freedom.
