Fumihiko Sori's film adaptation of Taiyo Matsumoto's manga gets it right with tech enhanced ping pong action while keeping to Matsumoto's theme of heroism between two friends.

it's a good translation from the comic books. the director translate comical language into movie language without missing much point, and he also add his own style in the movie. so both the movie and the comic books has their own strong unique points.
