This is just too much of everything. Too long, too many action sequences, too many twists and turns in the plot. You can hardly grasp the characters and their intentions. I am tempted to give this two stars but since Captain Jack Sparrow and friends can easily charm me, I will make it a three. And now leave it be, Hollywood!

The first film out of the current three is the only one worth merit. The only thing I really like about the sequels is they brought Barbossa back (he gets to eat his green apples). I read an interview with Johnny Depp in Entertainment Weekly and even he agrees the last two were confusing. I have high hopes for the 4th though because it really focuses on the character everyone loves the most... Captain Jack Sparrow.

For a film with so much going on within it, it has to be one of the most boring things I have ever seen. Ever.

The maelstrom was awesome, and the characters were funny. Sparrow and Barbossa made the movie for me. I got tired of all the backstabbing. And I am glad that Orlando Bloom died. Too bad he came back to life.
